Design Benefits
A footstool is necessary to relieve pressure under the thighs. If your worksurface is too high, you will need to raise your chair to align your elbows just above the worksurface height. This can cause excessive pressure on the soft tissue under the thighs as your feet reach for the floor. Also you may find that you sit forward on the seat and do not use your back support. The use of an adjustable footstool, set to the correct height, will reduce under thigh pressure, allow you to sit at the back of the seat and gain better use of your chair.
